Welcome to Montreal

Bienvenue à Montréal!

Allow us to welcome you to Montreal! Student ambassadors will be present to greet all international students arriving in Canada to study at any of the 16 universities in Quebec. This welcome booth will be located in the international arrivals area of the Montreal International Airport (next to the general information counter) for 18 days, starting Friday, August 15 until Monday, September 1, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until 10 p.m.

We are looking forward to hosting you at McGill and wish you a safe journey to Montreal!

Congratulations on your admission to McGill University! We look forward to your arrival this fall!

Through the First Year Office, you can get essential information for new students and find out about special services we offer Francophone students. Check out our orientation activities on the downtown campus from August 25 to 29. Be sure to attend Discover McGill on August 26 for a full day of informative activities and festivities.

Orientation activities for students studying at Macdonald Campus will take place during the week before the start of classes. Further details: www.mcgill.ca/macdonald/orientation.

Enter your McGill ID and Minerva PIN in the Admitted Students log-in box, then click on Events.


Residence move-in days are Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, 2008. For more information visit www.mcgill.ca/residences/undergraduate/admissions/movein.


Parents, congratulations to you too! If you are on the McGill downtown campus between August 23 and 27, please drop in to the Parents’ Tent on lower campus. In addition to meeting representatives from McGill and having your questions answered, we’ll give you a Red Privilege Card which provides you with access to museums, bus tours and special discounts in Montreal.
